This sensor measures the angular position of a rotating target. The rotation speed pictured is that of the GE 90 engine used on Boeing’s 777 aircraft.

The sensor measures the liquid level by means of measuring the buoyancy of the liquid. This allows the entire sensor electronics and mechanics to be outside the container in which the liquid level is sought, so that even corrosive liquid levels, such as acids, can be measured. This is a perfect solution for where access to the liquid is restricted to the existing opening of the vessel and creating new access ports for measurement are prohibited
